RNA sequencing uses next-generation sequencing to reveal the presence and quantity of RNA in a biological sample at a given moment. First, this workshop introduces key tools developed for analysis of gene expression data from read counts to biology using R. To facilitate learning, we will use a real case-study-based approach appropriate for Illumina read data (same as RNA-seq I).
